On a small piece of papyrus -- about the size of a business card -- are a few words that one Harvard professor believes will answer one of religions greatest questions: Did Jesus marry?
Dr. Karen King has vetted and analyzed the writing for almost two years before revealing her findings on Wednesday.
The translation contains the following six words: "Jesus said to them, 'My wife…'"
Then, the text cuts off; however, King says the fourth-century writing is the first known statement saying Jesus was married. Though some are skeptical about what the phrase means and if it's a legitimate document, many experts in the field believe it could be the real deal. If it is, there could be serious religious implications.
FOX 9 News spoke with Philip Sellew, professor of religious studies at the University of Minnesota who knows King, about the find.
