Today marks one year since the Occupy Wall Street movement began in New York City.
Demonstrators marked the anniversary with protests in the Big Apple and other cities across the country. Crowds were much smaller compared to last year.
Protesters chanted and spoke out against corporate greed and economic inequality. Officers arrested nearly 200 people in NYC -- mostly for disorderly conduct.
Even though the movement has lost much of its steam, demonstrators say it's going to take time.
"Its only been a year. It's going to take many years for it to develop and figure out exactly who we are. All we do know is there is a broad banner of economic injustice that brings together all of our people," says Justin Stone Diaz.
"One year ago it was a movement really about direct action and like thousands and thousands of people on the street. And I think now what you have is you have many working groups that do really good community activism, so I think in that sense the focus has changed," says Marni Halasa.
Phoenix occupiers started the march at Cesar Chavez Memorial Plaza in downtown Phoenix and traveled through downtown Phoenix before ending at Civic Space Park.
