FARGO, N.D. (KMSP) -
North Dakota State University and the University of Texas at Austin were both given the all-clear Friday afternoon, following a pair of similar bomb threats.
In Fargo, NDSU's main campus was evacuated, as well as the school's downtown campus.
According to Texas officials, a man with a "Middle Eastern" accent, claiming to be affiliated with al-Qaeda, called into the university at around 8:30 a.m. and said that he had placed several bombs around the campus. The caller said the bombs would go off in 90 minutes.
Valparaiso University in Indiana also dealt with threats, but called their situation substantially different.
