"They've got your back, now it's time for you to get theirs," Biden told a crowd of students at North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park. "We need you. All of you."
At North Hennepin, she stressed the importance of community colleges as critical "to our present and our future."
Jill Biden has her doctorate in education and teaches at a Washington, D.C. area community college.
After the north metro stop, Biden was scheduled to visit the Depot Coffee Shop in Hopkins before speaking at Macalester College in St. Paul.
