Meet baby Anaya Grace Garrido. The first Labor Day baby born at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital at 2:39 a.m. Monday to proud parents Jannett and Mike.
"I'm feeling good, excited, happy, a lot emotions," said Jannett.
"I'm just thankful, you know, I thank God baby was born healthy, you know, no issues," said Mike.
The 7 pound 1 ounce baby didn't have a name when she was born. Mom and dad agreed on Anaya about 20 minutes after her birth.
So how was the whole laboring process?
"Before I got the epidural, it was a little intense, but then when I got it, it was smooth sailing," said Jannett.
"I guess just being coach, holding hand, making sure she was breathing correctly, listening to nurses, doctors, just being there for her," said Mike.
Is his hand feeling okay?
"She didn't squeeze it too hard..no, not too hard," he said.
Anaya will go home to a big brother and big sister, of course in typical girl fashion. She has three different outfits to choose from.
"I can't sleep. I'm very tired, but I can't stop looking at her, kissing her," said Jannett.
The Garrido family says this is baby number three and this will be their last.
