The Vikings ended their preseason schedule with a 28-24 loss on the road to the Houston Texans. With the starters for both teams on the sidelines, Justin Forsett rushed 13 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns for the Texans in the win.
Jordan Todman did all he could to claim the third running back slot with an impressive 10 carry 114 yards one score performance. Matt Asiata and Lex Hillard both carried seven times each for a combined 76 yards. It could be for not as Asiata has impressed all-preseason.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson worked the second half completing 15 of 29 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown.
The team is now faced with reducing their roster to the 53 player limit by mid-Friday. From there, the team will begin preparations for Jacksonville whom they will host in week one.
