MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

We could find out as soon as Wednesday if Target Field will host the 2014 MLB All-Star Game.

Major League Baseball will hold a news conference at 4 p.m. from the concourse inside Gate 34 at Target Field. Commissioner Bud Selig is scheduled to be there, along with Minnesota Twins ownership, management, former players and other VIPs.

If the Twins get the All-Star Game, it would bring the mid-summer classic back to the Twin Cities for the first time since 1985.

Target Field would also host the Futures Game and the ever-popular Home Run Derby.
