An estimated 20 million adults in the U.S. have gallstones. This disease that was once largely confined to adults is now being diagnosed in children. A study is published in the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition reports that obese children are at least twice as likely to have gallstones as those whose weight was normal or underweight.
