MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) -
Prosecutors filed charges against 46-year-old Todd Hoffner, head football coach at Mankato State University, on Wednesday that accuse him of using minors in pornography and possessing pornographic work.
According to the criminal complaint, the school's IT Department found the videos on Hoffner's University-issued cell phone when he brought it in for repair.
Charging documents also explain that the minors involved are members of Hoffner's family.
Neither Blue Earth County prosecutors nor Hoffner's defense attorney wished to comment on this story.
Hoffner has spent the past five years coaching the Mavericks, and he had recently been given a four-year extension to keep him as couch through 2016.
The coach was arrested at his Eagle Lake home around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday. He was released from jail on Wednesday night, and he was picked up by his wife and his children.
