Detroit's own Kem is getting ready to host several big events this week to help the homeless in the city.
First up, the Gold Carpet Fundraiser. Featuring food, a silent auction and live entertainment, the gold party is this Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Charles H. Wright Museum from 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. Tickets start at $35.
Then, on Sunday, Aug. 26, Kem will host his annual Mack & Third party with a free concert featuring himself and Maze and Frankie Beverly. The show will be held at Cass Park beginning at 1 p.m.
Kem is asking people to bring donation and canned good for the homeless.
