Missing Cherokee County boy found safe

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Department says an 11-year-old boy missing since Thursday has been found safe.

Investigators say Elijah Cole was picked up from school by an adult friend of his father when he was reported missing.

Authorities say the father, Jason Cole, and the family friend, Will Copes, are currently being questioned by investigators.

Authorities did not disclose where the boy was found.
