ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -
Crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation have successfully moved the Maryland Avenue bridge, a maneuver they say will speed up construction efforts by months.
A self-propelled modular transporter was used to transport the bridge, and the state captured video of the span slowly making its way down the road.
The project shut down Interstate 35 E between Highway 36 and Interstate 94 until Sunday morning. The new bridge is now in place.
