SHAKOPEE, Minn. (KMSP) -
Sears Holding Company is closing its Kmart distribution center in Shakopee according to a company spokesperson.
The distribution center is seeing less volume pass through. About 130 people work there and they will either be given a severance package or the ability to try and fill in opening in another distribution plant.
Many workers Fox 9 spoke with Friday afternoon say they aren't sure what they'll do yet but taking a job at another distribution plant would mean moving out of state.
The distribution center is set to close this January.
