The driver of a motorcycle was killed early Friday morning following a police chase in Clifton, New Jersey, police said.
Cops responding to a report of two erratic motorcyclists spotted the drivers and pulled them over, reported the Associated Press.
One of the drivers sped away, running through a red light at about 1:15 a.m., said police.
A high-speed chase ensued.
Emmanuel Devy, 25, of Wallington died after he lost control of the bike trying to navigate a turn in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 46 near Route 20. He hit a concert barrier, according to police.
Video from SkyFoxHD showed the roadway closed for several hours. All lanes reopened just after 6 a.m.
Devy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second motorcyclist was released, reported the AP.
A police investigation into the deadly crash was underway.
