SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -
A judge has stepped in and blocked the planned ten percent pay cuts and twelve hour shifts for Detroit police. Wayne County Circuit Court Judge John Murphy issued a temporary restraining order Thursday.
Fox 2 legal analyst Charlie Langton says the order does not apply to other city workers.
"No, it does not. Any city worker right now, if you're not a police officer, you will take a ten percent pay cut."
A hearing on the matter has been set for August 22. Watch the video as Charlie Langton explains the judge's reasoning for issuing the order.
