CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
One more thing about the new words in the updated Merriam-Webster collegiate dictionary.
Every year they add new entries to the most widely used print dictionary. Language that's deemed so much a part of our lexicon that it's now dictionary-worthy.
The latest additions include:
"Sexting"
"Energy drink"
"Bucket list"
"Mash-up"
"Man cave"
"Gastro pub"
"Game-changer"
"Cloud computing"
"Underwater" (as in your mortgage not the swimming pool)
"Earworm" (that refers to songs that get stuck in your head against your will. You know, "Call me, Maybe.")
"Aha moment" (thank you, Oprah)
"F-bomb" (not "f'ing." Sorry, Rod).
If they do a Chicago edition of Webster's dictionary, I have a few suggested words they could add:
"Viagra triangle" (the Rush St. bar and restaurant district around Gibsons, frequented by older men)
"Field's" (our name for Macy's)
"Rahmbo" (the term for Mayor Emanuel when he loses his temper).

Over the weekend, the Tom Cruise sci-fi thriller "Oblivion" was number one at the box office. But the movie I'm talking about wasn't even in the top ten.
