The Vikings removed running back Adrian Peterson off the Physically Unable to Participate (PUP) list today. The move comes just two days following the teams 17-6 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Peterson had surgery on Dec. 30 to repair torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee. While the 7 ½ months have been an incredible turnaround, the team is guarded with what their All-Pro running back will be able to do.
Due to rules in the new collective bargaining agreement, Peterson isn't able to don full pads until Tuesday (when he has completed two practices). It has not been announced when or if Peterson would play in the teams pre-season games but signs point to some action in the teams third game at Mall of America Field against San Diego.
