ST. CLOUD, Minn. (KMSP) -
St. Cloud police had to use a Taser while arresting a man who was hurling racial slurs and death threats outside an apartment building after 10 p.m. on Tuesday."
Police said 34-year-old Nehemiah Mathews, of St. Cloud, was found outside of the door of the building on 33rd Avenue North, where he does not live.
Investigators said they learned Mathews had been shouting derogatory slurs while threatening to kill four occupants of an apartment and burn their vehicles.
Officers said Mathews failed to obey lawful orders from police, who then used a Taser to subdue him and take him into custody.
Mathews was treated for minor injuries at St. Cloud Hospital before he was booked into Stearns County Jail on charges of making terroristic threats, fourth-degree racially biased assault and obstructing the legal process.
The victims were not injured in the incident.
