School has started for many metro area students, and some may face the prospect of walking to school instead of taking a school bus due to route changes.
During the meeting one woman said, "I have no issue with a child walking. I have an issue with a child walking unsafely." The Barrow County sheriff and Winder police chief joined parents with concerns about how the cuts would affect safety.
