Water leaks return near Henderson Park

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -

Water leaks in Detroit south of Jefferson on the riverfront started up again after FOX 2's Problem Solvers got the leak fixed back in April.

One leak was at the foot of Burns next to the former Whittier Hotel and three others were at the marina in Erma Henderson Park. According to Danny Fatseas, they started leaking again back in June.

"It's pure energy going right down the sewer, just like Detroit is," said Fatseas. "Sad, but true. I tell it the way it is; I'm real."

Back in April, the water was shut off after the report aired and FOX 2 was told a contractor would fix it.

"My water bill went up twice since this has been turned back on, and it's a waste of pure energy," said Fatseas.

After a call from FOX 2, the water department came back to shut the water off again.

They said the work order is still in the books and the broken pipe is the property owner's responsibility.
