A firefighter was injured as a garage fire was prevented from spreading to a home in Brooklyn Park Monday afternoon.
Brooklyn Park crews arrived at the scene at 4:45 p.m. on the 2100 block of Yellowstone Trail after a neighbor phone call reporting the fire.
An attached garage on the two-story home was fully aflame.
Additional arriving crews completed a search of the home to ensure the fire did not spread to the house.
The injured firefighter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation after sheet rock fell onto them while checking the home.
Brooklyn Center crews were called to the scene to provide assistance.
