Tri-state area thunderstorms cause airport delays

Port Authority says there are delays at all three airports in the tri-state area due to the thunderstorms. 

These delays are posted as of 9:30 p.m.

John F. Kennedy Airport is experiencing departure delays between 3 hours and 46 minutes and 4 hours in length and increasing.  

Arrival traffic is experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less.  

La Guardia Airport is experiencing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 2 hours and 31 minutes and 2 hours and 45 minutes.  

Newark Liberty International Airport is experiencing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 3 hours and 17 minutes.
