Former Senator Craig claims bathroom visit fell under official d - KMSP-TV

Former U.S. Senator LarryCraig was sued in June on grounds campaign money was used for personal reasonsciting Craig's defense in Minnesota had no connection to his campaign forfederal office.

The former U.S. Senator was arrested in a Minneapolisairport bathroom in a sex-sting in July of 2007. Craig's lawyer argued in U.S.District Court this week that his airport bathroom visit fell under hisofficial duties.

The Federal Election Commission claims Craig misused $217,000 in campaign fundsto defend himself.
