ORONO, Minn. (KMSP) -
Two adults have been arrested in connection with a spree of thefts from boats docked on Lake Minnetonka last week.
At least 16 incidents were reported between July 24 and July 28, with alcohol, tools and electronics stolen. Thefts were reported in the following areas:
- Mound
- Orono -- Brown's Bay
- Orono -- Smith Bay
- Spring Park
- Tonka Bay
Video footage was captured of two young men who were interrupted during a theft onboard a boat on Lake Minnetonka. That full video can be viewed on YouTube.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said tips from the public played a significant role in the arrests. The sheriff's office and several other law enforcement agencies continue to investigate.
