MENOMONIE, Wis. (KMSP) -

An I-94 crash near Menomonie, Wis. late Tuesday involving two semi-trucks resulted in the death of a 43-year-old Minnesota man.

Both semis were headed westbound on the highway in Dunn County when a semi driven by a California man was rear-ended by a semi driven by Brian Lee Paglusch, 43.

The crash resulted in a fire from which Paglusch did not escape. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency crews, reports the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The driver of the other semi, Destry Donn Wilson, 22, from Redding was unharmed, but arrested at the scene and booked on suspicion of operating a vehicle with a detectable amount of illegal substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilson has a Wednesday court date in Dunn County.

The patrol is investigating the crash.
