Finding a job in this tough economy is difficult. Some of those looking for a job have been unemployed for months. Beth Herman, ManpowerGroup's Atlanta regional director, stopped by Good Day Atlanta with some practical advice for the long-term unemployed.

1. Participate in workforce board trainings 2. Working on a contractual basis to keep resumes fresh 3. Learning technology skills 4. Participate in practice interviews with recruiters 5. Develop the "soft" skills necessary to stand out (communications skills, problem-solving skills, etc.) 6. Networking, both in-person and online
