BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) -
An airport service truck driver was arrested Thursday night after he was accused of driving drunk while on the job at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
John Korab, 54, of Inver Grove Heights, was arrested by airport police. The incident report says his blood-alcohol concentration was .21 at the time. The legal limit to drive is .08.
The arrest came after the Korab's fellow employees reported that he failed to yield to a plane that was being backed up near a runway gate at 10:15 p.m.
A superior on the staff tracked Korab down at a filling station on the property to find that he smelled of alcohol.
Officials say Korab admitted to drinking earlier. He then failed a series of sobriety tests.
Korab has a prior DWI from 2008.
