Residents and police worked together to catch a purse-snatcher in Conyers Wednesday night.
Police say 19-year-old Demtri Favors and a 15-year-old boy were arrested for a snatch-and-grab robbery at the Kroger on Georgia Highway 138. They say the 15-year-old boy snatched a shopper's purse and ran behind the store.
Two witnesses chased him behind the store and when they spotted him getting into a car, they gave chase. They were able to relay the description and location of the vehicle to the police who eventually caught up with the pair.
Police were able to recover the stolen purse.
The juvenile faces robbery charges while Favors faces charges for being a party to the crime.
Investigators believe the pair is responsible for a similar robbery at a different Conyers supermarket.
