Pawlenty fundraises for Romney in Minn. as VP buzz grows

WAYZATA, Minn. (KMSP) -

The buzz about the possibility that Mitt Romney will pick former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty to be his running mate is growing a lot louder now that he's co-hosting a fundraiser along with another big name in the GOP, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

About 60 cars pulled up to the gathering, which brought some very powerful Republicans to a lavish home on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.

Donors attending the event at the private home in Wayzata are kicking in anywhere fro $2,500 to $25,000, but Pawlenty has already had a busy day.

Appearing on CBS in the morning and speaking with FOX's Neil Cavuto later on, the former governor had a bit of fun when facing criticism that he may be too dull to be the vice president.

"If you goad me, I'll show my tats," he quipped.

Also said to be on Romney's shortlist are Ohio Sen. Rob Portman and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, but Ann Romney told the Associated Press her husband is "not quite there yet" on making a decision.
