
The Minnesota State Patrol and Wright County deputies used a helicopter and K-9 unit to hunt down a hit-and-run suspect who rammed a family of three into a ditch off Highway 55 in Buffalo.
The crash happened a little before 10 p.m. Sunday on Highway 55 at County Road 109.
According to the State Patrol, a Ford Ranger carrying a family of three from Buffalo was rear-ended by a 29-year-old man in his Oldsmobile Alero. The truck was pushed into a south ditch and over a driveway before it rolled.
The family – 50-year-old couple Kevin and Jeannine Miller and their 16-year-old daughter, Autumn – were taken to North Memorial Medical Center with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
The suspect driver, identified as Shawn Olson of Buffalo, fled the scene on foot, launching a manhunt along Highway 55.
Olson was arrested for criminal vehicular operation and booked into the Wright County Jail after receiving treatment at Buffalo Hospital.
