COON RAPIDS, Minn. (KMSP) -
The Animal Humane Society confirmed to FOX 9 News that despite rescue efforts at the home of a cat hoarder in Braham, four of the six kittens taken from the residence had to be euthanized.
Jeff Moravec, with AHS, said the four kittens were humanely euthanized after they were all found to be in very poor health.
However, the rest of the cats -- two kittens and 11 adults -- all appear to be candidates for adoption. They do have medical issues that are currently being treated, but they should be ready for adoption in a couple of weeks.
"It's always possible that some health issues could arise that have not yet been observed, but so far, so good," said Moravec of the remaining rescues. "It would, obviously, be great to adopt them all out."
