CAMBRIDGE, Minn. (KMSP) -
A Hinckley, Minn. man, who admitted to FOX 9 he tried to hire a hit man to turn his ex-girlfriend into a sex slave, has been arrested again for stalking the woman.
According to the latest charges, Jesse Ericson has repeatedly tried to contact his ex-girlfriend with phone calls and text messages. Ericson told a Braham, Minn. police officer he had sent the text message and, "he had strong feelings for the victim and can't let her go."
Ericson was charged in Pine County in May with conspiracy to commit kidnapping for meeting with an undercover police officer posing as a hit man and agreeing to pay him $150,000 if he kidnapped his ex-girlfriend. During those conversations, which were recorded on surveillance video, Ericson can't decide if he wants his ex-girlfriend murdered or kept as a sex slave.
Out on bail, Ericson sat down for an interview with FOX 9's Tom Lyden, in which he repeatedly admitted attempting to hire the hit man. Ericson said he was under the influence of pain medication and beer.
He told FOX 9, "I didn't want to hurt her. I wrecked that relationship, I didn't want to do that. I just want her to know, I'm desperate."
The ex-girlfriend, who FOX 9 is not identifying, tells police when she saw Ericson's interview she felt it was directed right at her and she could not stop screaming. She says she's terrified that Ericson will not stop until he finds a way back in.
Ericson is currently in custody in the Isanti County Jail.
