Most parents and kids aren't thinking about reading and mathematics in the middle of summer vacation, but a report published Tuesday by the Center for American Progress says federal survey data indicates that school work may be too easy.
According to the survey, 37 percent of fourth graders said math work is either often or always too easy, and 57 percent of eighth graders feel the same way about their history homework. Of the high school seniors who were surveyed, 39 percent said they rarely write about what they read in class.
FOX 9 News spoke with Tom Dooher, president of Education Minnesota, about the findings.
