Fire destroys classic car, log cabin-style home in Afton - KMSP-TV

A log cabin-style home in Afton was destroyed by fire early Friday morning.

Around 4 a.m. the renter of the home noticed smoke coming from the back of house and called the fire department.

Firefighters from eight departments attacked the fire from the outside. A long driveway and the warm weather added to the firefighting difficulty.

A classic car was also destroyed in the fire.

The Red Cross is assisting the renter.
