An SUV didn't slow down for a big bump in a buckled road near Eau Clear and went soaring into the air.
Officials are making emergency repairs to two lanes of westbound Interstate 94 after the roadway buckled in the record-breaking heat.
Crews responded to the scene, located between Exit 226 for 49th Avenue North and Exit 228 to Dowling Avenue North at about 5 p.m. on Monday.
The two left lanes are blocked while repairs are being made, but they are expected to reopen by Tuesday.
The Weather Service office in Chanhassen says it got up to 98 degrees Monday in the Twin Cities area. That breaks the old July 2 record of 96 degrees, set in 1911.
