CAU president appointed to Assoc. Governing Boards

The president of Clark Atlanta University has been appointed to a three-year term to the Association of Governing Board of Universities and Colleges of Presidents.
Carlton E. Brown was appointed on May 31 and expects to start the term in October.
Brown joined CAU as executive vice president and provost in 2007 and was named president the following year. Brown has led the university's new strategic plan, "Pathway to a Secured Future 2011-2013," which focuses on initiatives such as institutional advancement.

The fox responsible for biting two Newton County elementary school students while they played on their school's playground remains on the loose.
The fox that bit two Newton County elementary school students while they played on the playground is still on the loose. Animal control authorities tell FOX 5 someone from Rocky Plains Elementary School reported a fox sighting on campus one day before the boys were attacked.

Later today, Georgia State Rep. Tyrone Brooks is expected to speak publicly about his recent arrest on fraud and tax charges. Brooks was arraigned in federal court on Wednesday.
