Firefighter hospitalized after Minneapolis factory blaze

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

One firefighter is injured after crews responded to a commercial building fire Friday night.

The fire was on the 1800 block of E. 28th St. in South Minneapolis.

When crews arrived on scene, fire was showing from one of the storage buildings on the property, where inside stacks of wood pallets were on fire.

Several propane cylinders exploded sure the blaze, before spreading to a nearby storage building.

The initial call came in at 9:11 p.m., and the fire was placed under control by 10:53 p.m.

Employees of the facility were on scene when the fire broke out, although no civilians were injured.

The injured firefighter was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for possible heat exhaustion, and his condition is currently unknown.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
