MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
A vigil is set to take place on Saturday to remember a 5-year-old boy who was killed in his home as he fled a hail of gunfire.
MADDADS, the family, area churches and community organizations will hold a benefit remembering Nizzel George at 4500 Bryant Avenue in Minneapolis at 3 p.m. on June 30.
Donations are being accepted at any M&I Bank location to Acct. #4808982714.
Funeral arrangements for George have also been finalized, and the memorial service will take place at Shiloh Temple International Ministries, located at 1201 West Broadway, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3.
Police are still looking for information on the shooter, and have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading up to an arrest. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling 612-692-8477.
