Holy Family Catholic High School captured their first baseball championship in school history with a dominating 5-0 win over St. Cloud Cathedral.
Senior Kasey Ralston picked up the win pitching a complete game shutout, allowing only two hits while striking out seven. Ralston picked up two wins during the state tournament without allowing a run in either contest.
The Fire exploded in the fourth inning scoring three runs. Keller Knoll doubled to lead off the inning and scored when Conner Riddle sent a double to left center. Later in the inning, Jack Schliesman doubled scoring Jordan Hollen. Joe Salz scored the third run of the inning when he came home on Tommy Hanson's fly ball to center field.
It would be all the offense the Fire would need as Ralston was on cruise control the rest of the way. He threw just 84 pitches in the win.
Holy Family did not allow a single run the entire state tournament and held their opponents to just 10 hits over three games.
