
A few prominent Republicans are saying "enough is enough" to their fellow conservatives for refusing to compromise, and Democrats aren't blame-free either. FOX 9 News spoke with strategists for both parties about whether ideology is getting in the way at Capitol Hill.
On Monday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said his father and Ronald Reagan would have a tough time getting anything done today because of the no-compromise conservative activists driving the party. Then, Sen. Lindsey Graham said he will jump ship on the pledge many Republicans signed to say they would never raise taxes.
"We're so far in debt that if you don't give up some ideological ground, the country sinks," Graham said.
FOX 9 News spoke with Republican strategist Ben Golnik and Democratic strategist Darin Broton about whether public policy is suffering for the sake of political points.
