For all the work dad does around the house, the value of his contributions are only about a third of mom's. That's according to research insure.com.
Fatherly duties are valued about $20,248 bucks a year -- about a thousand less than a decade ago and much less than the $60,000 dollar amount for mom.
The website calculated how much dads would be paid based on data from the department of labor.
Insure.com broke it down on a chart. For barbecuing, dad gets $11.99 per hour, driving: $2.03 and hour, helping with homework: $17.91 an hour, family finances: $33.72 an hour.
Other tasks they totaled up include moving furniture, mowing the lawn, pest removal and being a plumber.
