The Three Rivers Park District park patrol horses are part of a brand new program this week.
M.A. Rosko checks out "Horsing Around," a great way for kids 8-13 to get to know horses. This program consists of instruction on the level of safety required while being around horses, how horses and humans interact, herd behavior and horse management. Participants will be given a tour of the Three Rivers Park District Public Safety Equine Center, meet and greet with the horses, learn how to properly groom a horse, and take a short ride on a staff-led horse in one of our arenas. Reservations required.
$25, reservations required. 9:30am-noon June 7 and 8.
