The Minnesota Timberwolves are holding workouts with six NBA Draft prospects on Tuesday at Target Center, including former Minnesota prep stars Royce White and Jordan Taylor.
Players scheduled to appear at workout
Taylor was named Minnesota Mr. Basketball as a senior at Benilde-St. Margaret's and had a four-year, All-Big Ten career at the University of Wisconsin.
Royce White's collegiate career was a rockier road. He never made it onto the basketball court under Tubby Smith at the University of Minnesota after he was charged in two different theft cases. White was eventually released from his scholarship and landed at Iowa State, averaging 13.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists in his one-and-only season under head coach Fred Hoiberg.
White is projected as a late first or early second-round draft pick.
"This is really just the start of it, and there's always a chance I don't make it," White said of his draft position. "I'm still under the belief I'm not going to make it. I don't want to be disappointed on draft night when my name doesn't get called."
