M.A. Rosko checks out the Museum of Russian Art and Walker Art Center's Open Field today.
First—a glimpse into the lives of average Russians during the Communist era.
More than 50 black and white photos, taken between the 1950s and 1990s are on display at the Museum of Russian Art, 5500 Stevens Ave. South.
The photos will take you back in the USSR, and challenge what you THINK you know about the former Soviet Union.
Second—the ultimate public space, Open Field is back at the Walker. The grassy hill, complete with outdoor café and kiosk full of toys and games, is ready for you to come play.
Groups are free to suggest and stage their own activities—from music to yoga, letterpress to knitting—or take part in activities already going on.
