The Minnesota Department of Health issued a Do Not Drink order on Monday morning for residents of Lino Lakes, citing a temporary loss of pressure in the city's water system.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the loss of pressure makes water vulnerable to bad bacteria.
Anoka County spokeswoman Martha Weaver said the Do Not Drink order is expected to last through Tuesday at noon, but residents will be told when it is safe to drink the municipal water again.
More than 20 restaurants could be temporarily closed if they can't find other water supplies.
