Detroit-bound Delta flight with cracked windshield lands at MSP

Posted: Updated:

Hennepin County officials issued an airport alert after a Delta plane was diverted to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport for a cracked windshield.

The extent of the crack on the windshield is not known, nor is the cause of the crack; however, the airport alert stated that the pilot's visibility was limited.

Delta flight #2316 from Las Vegas landed safely at 4:18 p.m. with 148 passengers and five crew members aboard.

No injuries were reported.

The passengers aboard that flight were transferred to another plane, which has since taken off.  It is expected to land in Detroit about 90 minutes after its original arrival time.
