
First Lady Michelle Obama released her first book this week called, "American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America". It continues Michelle Obama's focus on food, diet and health for kids. Chef Seth Bixby Daughtery joined in the FOX 9 Kitchen to talk about Chef Daughtery's initiatives trying to bring more nutritious lunches to kids at school.
Zucchini with Tomato and Basil
Ingredients
2 ounces extra virgin olive oil
5 cloves of garlic minced
4 medium zucchini chopped or sliced
2 small tomatoes chopped
10 large basil leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
Heat large pan. Add olive oil to pan and then add garlic and start to cook.
Cook garlic till it just starts to brown then add the zucchini and cook for 2 minutes then add the tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, add the basil right before you serve.
