Ask Dr. Oz season 3: post op #34

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Audience member Tanash wants to know more about Lymphedema and asks Dr. Oz what the daily treatments are.

Dr. Oz explains that when Lymphedema is present, the body's lymph system that drains, and cleans waste in our body fluids with the help of our muscles isn't working properly.

The fluids get trapped within the affected areas and collects when the lymph system isn't functioning.

Dr. Oz examines Tanash's legs where her swelling occurs.

Dr. Oz recommends staying active, walking a lot, and compressing the affected areas with special fabric made for this condition, so no fluids collect there.
