WASHINGTON (KMSP) -

It didn't last long for Minnesotan and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to renounce her new Swiss citizenship. She sent a letter to the Swiss government asking them to withdraw her citizenship in response to the "silly distraction that the media brought up."

Just Thursday — one day after announcing she had dual-citizenship with the European country -- she's being very clear that she's American through-and-through.

She stated her case as a full-blooded American on FOX News Channel's Huckabee program. The host, former GOP Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, joked Bachmann "has never been neutral on anything" therefore cannot be Swiss.
