Construction of the Central Corridor light rail line connecting downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul is now 50 percent done, and on track to be 75 percent complete by the end of 2012.
Program director Mark Fuhrmann said utility relocations, roadway removal and replacement, track installation and structural work on 18 stations should be finished by the end of the year.
"Overall, the project remains on schedule to open in 2014 and within budget," Fuhrmann said.
